Australia Post and DHL both require manifests otherwise you may experience manifest error fees. However at SKUTOPIA we’ve taken the pain out of the manifest process and we auto-manifest appropriate orders for you.
Understanding Manifests
A manifest is a crucial document in the shipping process that provides a comprehensive list of all packages being shipped in a single consignment. It's essential for certain carriers when booking shipping labels and pick-ups for the following reasons:
- Inventory control: Helps carriers track all packages in a shipment
- Efficiency: Streamlines the pick-up and sorting process
- Compliance: Ensures all necessary shipping information is provided
- Accountability: Serves as a record for both the merchant and carrier
Automated Manifest Process
SKUTOPIA has implemented a daily automation system that simplifies the manifest creation process for customers:
- All orders ready to be manifested are automatically processed at 5pm EST each day
- Customers no longer need to manually create manifests for their shipments
- This automation ensures timely and consistent manifest creation, improving efficiency for both customers and carriers
Manual Manifest Creation
While the automated system handles most manifest needs, customers can still create manifests manually if necessary:
- Access the "Manifests" section of the SKUTOPIA shipping platform
- Review the "Labels ready to manifest" list
- Select the desired labels and click "Manifest labels" to create a manual manifest
