Dangerous Goods Limitations

  • Definition: Dangerous goods include items that are explosive, flammable, radioactive, or otherwise hazardous.
  • Examples: Aerosols, lithium batteries, flammable liquids, and corrosives.
  • Special Conditions: Dangerous goods may only be shipped if they meet specific packaging and labeling requirements and are accepted by the carrier. Additional charges and transit time may apply.

Products That Can Be Shipped

SKUTOPIA customers can ship a variety of products using our platform, subject to the regulations and limitations set by our carrier partners. The following products are generally acceptable for shipping:

  • General Merchandise: Clothing, electronics, books, and other non-restricted items.
  • Alcohol and Wine: Accepted by Couriers Please and Aramex.
  • Non-dangerous goods: Items that do not fall under the dangerous goods category as defined by the carrier's guidelines.

Products That Cannot Be Shipped

Certain products are restricted or prohibited from being shipped through our carrier partners. These include:

  • Dangerous Goods: Items classified as dangerous or hazardous, such as flammable liquids, aerosols, lithium batteries, and explosives, unless specific conditions are met and prior consent is obtained.
  • Alcohol and Wine: Not accepted by Australia Post, DHL or Go People. 
  • Bulky Items: Items that exceed the maximum dimensions and weight limits set by the carriers.
  • Perishable Goods: Items that require special handling or are prone to spoilage unless pre-agreed upon.

Carrier-Specific Limitations

Couriers Please

  • Does Accept: Alcohol and wine.
  • Does not Accept: goods containing Lithium Batteries of any description via air anywhere within Australia. Such goods include but are not limited to laptops, mobile phones, power tools, toys, cameras and watches. 
Max Dimensions and Weight:
  • Maximum weight for a single item: 32 kg.
  • Length, width or height to not exceed 100 cm otherwise there may be additional charges

  • Does Accept: Alcohol and wine.
Max Dimensions and Weight:
  • Maximum weight: 25 kg actual weight or 40 kg cubic weight.
  • Length, width or height to not exceed 102 cm otherwise there may be additional charges

Australia Post

  • Does Not Accept: Alcohol and wine.
  • International Restrictions: No dangerous goods.
Max Dimensions and Weight (Domestic only):
  • Maximum weight 22 kg
  • Maximum length 105 cm
  • Maximum girth 0.25 cubic meters.

Go People

  • Does not Accept: anything illegal, prohibited, stolen, explosive, inflammable, or otherwise dangerous or hazardous goods or live animals. If you are unsure whether the goods you wish to transport are considered Restricted Goods, you should contact Go People on 1300 416 722.
